Important event information for the Leprechaun Marathon, Half-marathon, 10 miles, 10K, 5K, 1 mile & Duathlon, March 15, 2009
| TIME: | EARLY START FOR THE MARATHON IS 9:30 A.M. BRING YOU OWN DRINKS THE AIDE STATIONS WILL NOT BE OPEN UNTIL 10:30 A.M. Full and Half-marathon: 10:30 a.m. 10 mile, 10K, 5K & 1 mile: 10:40 a.m. Duathlon: 2:30 p.m. Packet for the running races starts at 8:45 a.m and goes until 10:15
a.m. For the duathlon it starts at 12:45 p.m. and goes until 2:10 p.m.

| DISTANCE: | Running Races: 26.2, 13.1, 10 , 6.2, 3.1 & 1 mile Duathlon: 1 mile run, 11.5 mile bike, 1 mile run.

| COURSE: | THE COURSE IS USATF CERTIFIED AND CAN BE USED FOR THE BOSTON MARATHON. The marathon, half-marathon, 10 miles and 10K are out and back with some rolling hills at the beginning and the end, but nothing big. The marathon is 70 percent flat. The 5K is out and back al
l flat with one small hill at the turnaround. The mile is all flat inside the park. The duathlon runs are out and back, flat inside the park. The bike is on the road out and back with some rolling hills but nothing big. The course is great for beginners or veterans. There will be porta potties an
d aid stations on the course with water, gatorade, gel/food.

| AGE GROUPS: | 0-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-65, 70 up. Also team divisions of male, female and mixed in the duathlon.

| AWARDS: | All marathon and half-marathon finishers will receive a neck medal. Top 10 overall in the marathon and half-marathon both male and female will receive trophies. Top 3 overall in all other races will receive trophies. Top 3 overall in 5 year age groups will receive neck medals. In the duathlon top 5 overall will receive trophies and top 3 in 5 year age groups will receive neck medals. There is also team divisions of male, female and mixed in the duathlon.

| T-SHIRTS: | All entrants will receive a leprechaun short sleeve t-shirt unless the no t-shirt option is checked. All garments are 100 percent cotton and are preshrunk. Sizes are small, medium, large, XL and 2 XL. You can upgrade your short sleeve shirt to a longsleeve shir
t or sweatshirt. You can also purchase an extra longsleeve shirt or sweatshirt.

| OTHER INFO: | 5th annual holiday events with lots of postrace food and quality awards. There will be lots of hot chili or soup, along with ham, turkey, roast beef and cheese sandwiches. There will also be chips, nachos, cookies, pretzels, etc. Bottled water and other sport
drinks will also be available is drink after the race, along with coffee and apple cider. HOT SHOWERS: Are available in the campgrounds, bring some quarters and a towel. RESULTS: Will be posted at www.ontherunevents.com, www.racecenter.com and www.nwrunner.com.
